ONMC is pleased to announce the appointed of two new directors who are excited to work with us to promote the goals of the Ottawa New Music Creators.
Rebecca Danard, former president of ONMC, has been appointed the new Artistic Director of our organization. Rebecca successfully oversaw the growth of ONMC both as Director of Musica Nova in 2009-2010 and as President from 2010-2011. Rebecca is a doctoral candidate in clarinet performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and is presently Director of the Contemporary Music Ensemble at Carleton University. She is an enthusiastic educator, performer, and advocate for new music. Rebecca will oversee and curate the artistic vision of ONMC’s main concert series.
Elizabeth Lance, MA, is the new Executive Director of ONMC. Elizabeth is both a talented musician and succesful business person. As CEO of The InGenuity Group, Elizabeth helps numerous organizations in the non-profit and arts communities procure funding and sponsorship for their group’s work. Elizabeth brings a host of talents to ONMC and we are very excited to welcome her aboard.
ONMC is very pleased to welcome our new executive team and look forward to a successful 2011-2012 season.
Congratulation for both, Rebecca Danard as the new Artistic Director and Elizabeth Lance, MA, as the new Executive Director. I hope to see the ONMC moving forward.
