Ottawa New Music Creators (ONMC) seeks to fill two Directorial positions for the 2011- 2012 season. The goal of introducing these positions to our organization is to expand the organization and its potential for future growth. Each successful candidate will be appointed for a two-year term and receive an honorarium of $500 in their initial year with potential for increase and renewal. Both the Executive Director and Artistic Director will be responsible to the ONMC Board of Directors as well as the membership.
Details regarding the duties these positions entail are outlined below:
Executive Director
- Responsible for the application of grants
- Responsible for financial matters (filing taxes, fundraising, etc)
- Delegation of personnel for events and event preparation
- Pursuing non-profit/charitable status
- Guidance, oversight and delegation of the above tasks
- Maintain constructive dialogue with Artistic Director
- Attend board meetings and be accountable to the board
- Not a voting member of the board or organization
Artistic director
- Put forth an artistic vision and propose a season for the organization in consultation
- with the board
- Book artists
- Organize venues and coordinate event logistics
- Liaison with other members of artistic community
- Maintain constructive dialogue with the Executive Director
- Attend board meeting and be accountable to the board
- Not a voting member of the board or organization
